Latin American Federation of Obesity Societies / Federacion Latinoamericana de Sociedades de Obesidad (FLASO)

The Latin American Federation of Obesity Societies (FLASO) is the scientific institution that brings together, with representation by country, medical, ethical Associations or Societies, recognized nationally and that dedicate their activity fundamentally to the study of the scientific and orthodox management of obesity.

FLASO was founded on October 9, 1990 in Santiago, Chile. The fundamental objective of FLASO is to promote scientific progress in the study and management of obesity and the approach and exchange between Latin American specialists dedicated to this discipline.
