Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Description:
The Latin American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology traces its origins to the year 1962, in the city of Santa Fe de Bogotá, Colombia, where a group of Bucomaxillofacial Surgeons from different countries met with an entity that congregated dentists, specialists in oral maxillofacial surgery (CBMF), with the purpose of promoting the formation and exchange of knowledge among all the countries of Latin America.

The main purpose of ALACIBU is to integrate in the same Association all the National Entities of the countries that make up Latin America, which are formally constituted in their respective countries and integrated by Dentists (Dental Surgeons, Stomatologists,) with specialty in Maxillofacial Surgery ( CMF), with the purpose of promoting the formation and exchange of knowledge among all the countries of Latin America.

Mission:
Generate and disseminate knowledge and techniques that allow to train and update oral-maxillofacial surgeons who invariably aim to improve the quality of life of patients, through the proper analysis of the problems that arise in each case.

Vision:
Obtain and share knowledge, as well as develop and innovate techniques that allow us to always be at the forefront, to provide the best therapy, diagnosis and treatment, as well as the prevention of diseases, traumas and malformations that affect the functional and/or aesthetic aspect of the oral and maxillofacial region.
