The Society seeks to improve the treatment of knee ligaments and meniscus injuries, arthritic cartilage injuries, periprosthetic fractures, and arthritis of the knee due to trauma caused by sports or accident. According to the developments in each field, arthroscopic surgery, which has improved dramatically with the development of visual media while pursuing the minimally invasive surgical method, is now being performed even ligament reconstruction. Autologous osteochondral graft or arthroplasty using cell culture has been developed for the treatment of articular cartilage damage. Total knee arthroplasty, which has excellent results, has been gradually increasing in number and the efforts to improve the accuracy of operation by developing computerized and robot - based surgical methods have been made. Therefore, as the interest of physicians in the field of knee joints has increased so much, most research results have been reported in the Fall Meeting of the Orthopedic Society of Korea in 2005. Currently, among the members of the Orthopedic Society of 456 members, Has become one.
