Kansas Chapter American Academy of Pediatrics (KAAP)

The Kansas Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (KAAP) is a professional organization with more than 500 members throughout the state who work to make lives better for children in Kansas. KAAP has won the AAP Outstanding Medium Chapter award multiple times, is involved in several statewide committees and task forces, active in legislative issues, and manages several programs to help pediatricians promote child literacy, breastfeeding, immunizations and more.

Mission:
The attainment by all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults of their full potential for physical, mental, emotional, and social health. Together with those who share this purpose, the Kansas Chapter pledges its efforts and expertise to a fundamental goal-that all children and youth have the opportunity to grow up safe and strong, with faith in the future and in themselves.
