The Japan Thyroid Association (JTA) is a professional organization consisting of basic or clinical scientists intrested in thyroid research and of physicians or surgeons intrested in the pathogenesis and management of patients suffering form thyroid disease. Founded in 1959, and with more htan 2,300 active members, the association has had a close relationship with the Japan Endocrine Society.
