Italian Association of Hematology Pediatric Oncology / Associazione Italiana Ematologia Oncologia Pediatrica (AIEOP)

AIEOP is the Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Its members are mainly pediatricians, but also hematologists, oncologists, surgeons, biologists, nurses, psychologists and all those operators who are dedicated to the problems of hematology, oncology and immunology in children and adolescents.

The members set up an organization to work together and the centers belonging to the Association gathered in a national collaborative network that shares therapy protocols and research projects.

The main objective of the AIEOP is to improve care and assistance to the child affected by cancer, haematological disorders or immunodeficiency and to promote research in this area.

The AIEOP is directed by a Board of Directors which has the function of achieving the objectives of the Association and verifying that the various activities are carried out in compliance with the provisions of the Articles of Association and the Regulations.

A fundamental task of the Association is to promote and foster all initiatives aimed at increasing and enhancing the humanization of assistance to the hematological-oncological child and his family.
