In recent years the problem of "skin ulcers" (venous, arterial, diabetic, pressure ulcers) has assumed growing importance, above all as a function of the progressive increase in the population in old age and therefore of the prevalence of chronic-disabling pathologies. Skin ulcers represent a real clinical-care problem of growing importance, often disabling and difficult to approach.

The Italian Skin Ulcers Association , making use of the work of prestigious experts in the sector, wants to be a meeting place and national reference point for all those who engage in and face the difficult problem of skin ulcers on a daily basis.

It wants to be an important moment of verification and wants to allow a fine-tuning of knowledge, in terms of research, pathophysiology, diagnosis and therapy of skin ulcers. In fact, it is a problem that must be faced with an interdisciplinary clinical-diagnostic approach, vitalized by humility, professionalism and enthusiasm, always and in any case coordinated by love for study and research, in the concept that in order to let people know, one must know how to do and willingness to learn.
