International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS)

Mission & Overview:
The International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS) was founded as an international, non-profit organization in 1991 and is dedicated to advancing the field of stereotactic radiosurgery through research, education and multidisciplinary collaboration. It is the largest organization of its kind with over 800 members from more than 60 countries.

The Society has been a driver of and a participant in the widespread adoption of the technique of stereotactic radiation delivery as an integral part of the therapeutic armamentarium for a wide array of benign and malignant disorders. As technology continues to evolve, allowing ever more precise and conformal treatments, the ISRS will remain on the forefront of elucidating best practices and the clinical outcomes of the technique.

The Society’s primary initiatives currently include:
• A robust offering of educational activities including regular webinars offered by international experts and comprehensive courses provided in collaboration with leading institutions throughout the world.
• Defining and disseminating best practices through the publication of indication-specific clinical guidelines.
• Convening global ISRS Congresses every two years to highlight research, clinical results and technical advances.
