Description:
• To identify health professionals involved in the care of adults with congenital heart disease in order to foster exchanges of ideas, provide educational support, facilitate collaborative research, and support continued care of patients throughout the world.
• To promote a holistic team-based approach to the care of the adult with congenital heart disease that is comprehensive, patient-centered, and interdisciplinary.
• To promote lifelong care of the congenital heart patient worldwide that is sustainable, and culturally and socially sensitive.
• To advance the professional education of our members in the discipline of adult congenital heart disease by providing educational resources, enhancing the value of educational material presented at international scientific meetings and courses, and endorsing high-quality educational opportunities.
Mission:
The purpose of the International Society for Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ISACHD), a nonprofit organization, is to promote, maintain and pursue excellence in the care of adults with congenital heart disease worldwide. The Society is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and training in medical disciplines pertinent to congenital heart disease in adults. Membership is open to health professionals interested in furthering the objectives of the Society, and who are involved in the care of adults with congenital heart disease.
