The International College of Angiology is a nonprofit, international and interdisciplinary scientific organization chartered in 1958, and comprised of physicians and scientists deeply committed to improving health and the quality of life through the practice of cardiovascular medicine and surgery. The College serves the growing needs of medical, clinical and research scientists by providing the opportunity for the convenient interchange of clinical experiences and technical research associated with cardiovascular diseases. their programs are designed to enhance the professional capabilities of physicians concerned with the vascular system and the therapy thereof, contributing to patient healthcare on the community level. The College promotes education, research and communication while providing strong leadership in the development of health care policy.

The International College of Angiology represents dedicated groups of clinical scientists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, diagnostic and interventional radiologists, internists, neurologists, anesthetists, and basic scientists who have common interest in advancing the knowledge in diseases related to the vascular system. These scientists and clinicians have a common goal to update the pathophysiology of disease, clinical diagnostic modalities, and treatment (medical and surgical) for improved health care delivery and future research.

The College achieves its mission to its membership through relevant continuing medical education provided by the annual world congress and by mini-symposia throughout the year at various places organized by experts in the many diverse fields of angiology. The International College of Angiology is committed to the advancement of research and development for the healthcare of patients, and dedicated to establishing educational programs appropriate for practicing physicians and surgeons. The College's aim is to encourage young scientists and clinicians in basic and clinical research through a special forum of a young investigators award program.

The International College of Angiology disseminates most current advancement in research, pathophysiology of the disease, diagnostic and interventional modalities, and treatment of diseases related to the cardiovascular system through publications in International Journal of Angiology, the official journal of the College. The ultimate goal of the College is to improve health care delivery through various avenues of dissemination of knowledge.
