Institute of Studies of the Family and Human Systems / lInstitut dEtudes de la Famille et des Systemes Humains (IEFSH)

Brussels, Brussels, Belgium

Institute of Studies of the Family and Human Systems was created in 1979 by Mony Elkaïm, and that the first training cycle for the Institute's label was launched in 1983, with a team of trainers who already had several years of experience as trainers in Belgium and abroad. Some of them were teachers or professors of Belgian or French universities, as well as teachers in universities.

It should be noted that the Institute of Family and Human Systems Studies has gained international renown through its diversified activities: in addition to the above-mentioned training, the members of the Institute have created theoretical concepts and published books and articles whose references are regularly cited in the field of family therapy, they are responsible for a reputable French-language journal (Family Therapy Critical Journals and Networking Practices), run book collections dealing with psychotherapy (Seuil and De Boeck-Albin Michel). They have served in American and European associations of psychotherapy and family therapy.
