Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD)

The Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry is a non-profit educational and research entity dedicated to providing outcomes-based clinical training.

Founded in 1999, by Robert H. Gregg, II, DDS and Delwin K. McCarthy, DDS, the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry’s vision has been to impact the lives of dentists, their teams and their patients by eradicating periodontitis with a new standard of care. It is their hope that the percentage of patients receiving treatment for gum disease would approximate the percentage of patients who seek general dental care.

Mission
Mission is to provide relevant and timely education for effective, consistent, and successful treatment of moderate to advanced periodontitis using laser technology. It is their goal to reach more of the large number of underserved patients needing treatment for this condition but who have been avoiding necessary therapy out of fear. It is their hope that the percentage of patients receiving treatment for this disease would approximate the percentage of patients who seek general dental care.
