At IMO we are passionate about ophthalmology, but, above all, we are passionate about people. For this reason, we wanted to materialize our dreams at Fundación IMO, a platform to promote new ways to improve the vision and, through it, the quality of life of many people.

IMO Foundation was set up in 2010, driven by a team of IMO professionals, to which social entities, volunteers and the collaboration of suppliers, sponsors and individuals who support the projects of the foundation have been added.

Mission :
The mission of the IMO Foundation is to improve the vision and quality of life of people through research, teaching, prevention and social action.

This is possible thanks to the team of the Institute of Ocular Microsurgery, which brings their enthusiasm and experience, as well as the rest of volunteers, collaborators and sponsors who are joining the project.

The vision of the IMO Foundation is to contribute to the progress of ophthalmology and the improvement of society.

In the field of research, this vision is directed to the application of treatments that allow to offer a solution to eye pathologies still without cure; In the field of teaching, the will is to promote scientific collaboration and the formation of new generations of ophthalmologists.

The other great challenge of the IMO Foundation is to move towards a health model that gives increasing importance to prevention, focusing on groups of special ophthalmological risk and reaching those who are at risk of social exclusion.
