The Hawaii Association of Professional Nurses is an organization for ALL nurses of all specialities and educational levels including APRNs, RNs and nursing students.
Our organization focus is on education, legislation and uniting nurses by fostering leadership.
• Legislative focus: to advocate for patient access and nursing interest through legislature.
• Organizational focus: to increase public awareness of the roles and practices of RNs and APRNs in Hawaii and to unite nurses and give them platform to promote nursing excellence in patient care.
Vision:
The vision of this organization is to maintain and improve the community’s access to state of the art and science of healthcare through collegial inter- disciplinary endeavor.
Purpose:
The purpose of this organization is to be the chosen voice of the nursing profession in establishing policy, regulation and legislation which affects the development and practice of professional nursing in Hawaii. HAPN will be the choice of Hawaii’s nurses for educational opportunities.This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501 (c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code.
