Hawaii Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (HAND)

The Hawai‘i Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (HAND) is a state affiliate of the national Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Founded in 1939, we are a non-profit voluntary professional organization representing over 300 Registered Dietitians Nutritionists (RD or RDN), Dietetic Technicians-Registered (DTR) and dietetic interns and students in Hawai‘i and U.S. affiliated Pacific Islands.

HAND members serve the public by promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being in a variety of settings, including medical and health care centers, schools, colleges and universities, research facilities, public health and other community agencies, health and fitness centers, supermarkets, media, private practice, and as entrepreneurs.
