Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy

Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy was founded as Pharmacy School under the Faculty of Medicine in 1967. In 1971, their Faculty started to serve as independent Faculty of Pharmacy in the fields of research-development and education and was the third Faculty of Pharmacy founded in Turkey.

Education period consists of 5 years and 10 semesters excluding summer schools and summer training courses. Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy is the highest ranked Faculty of Pharmacy in terms of the entrance scores in the Entrance Exam to the University as well as in terms of number of publications among all Faculties of Pharmacy in Turkey.

The pharmacy education in Hacettepe University is compliant with the Bologna initiative and several students spend two semesters in European Universities via the ERASMUS student exchange programme. Their Faculty also accepts students from abroad though ERASMUS and other bilateral agreements to receive education for a semester or complete training programmes in Hacettepe.

Mission:
Hacettepe University mission is to educate pharmacists capable of contributing to public health and taking active responsibility in every step of drug research and development procedures; to contribute to science and literature by scientific research projects and use this knowledge for public benefit; to work actively in healthcare services.

Vision:
Their Faculty’s vision is being a pioneer Faculty in educating pharmacists with modern education and research strategies and a worldwide accepted educational and research institution.
