Nurnberg, Bavaria, Germany

The German Society of Endocrinology (DGE) is the scientific society and advocacy group of all those who research, teach or work in the field of hormones and metabolism. The founding of the German Society of Endocrinology took place in Hamburg in 1953 at the suggestion of Arthur Jores.

The DGE sees its main task in the promotion of research in the field of endocrinology - in the field of basic research as well as in the field of clinical research. The DGE also advocates an intensification of the exchange of views and experiences between the various disciplines represented in the DGE, as well as an intensification of the exchange of views between the DGE and the public.
