As a non-profit organization, the DGRh works independently and for the benefit of the general public, without pursuing economic goals.

Tasks and Goals
Central concerns of the society are the research of rheumatic diseases as well as the exchange of scientific knowledge and practical experience. The DGRh promotes scientific concepts of training, further education and advanced training of physicians and medical assistants as well as the training of patients. In this way, it ensures that scientific knowledge is transferred to applied medicine. The information of its members, the medical profession and the public about developments in rheumatology is an essential task of the DGRh.
