The German Society for Oral, Maxillofacial and Facial Surgery (DGMKG) is the umbrella organization of all specialists in oral, maxillofacial and facial surgery in Germany. The umbrella organization, with over 1,900 members, is a voluntary association of these doctors to protect, promote and represent scientific, professional, economic and other common interests. Their purpose is the uniform and effective representation of the field internally and externally in matters of scientific presentation, professional political issues and the further development of the field in clinics and practice.
