Mission:
The DGM is a self-help association, which means that the work is characterized by direct and immediate support from those affected. This is carried out by volunteers and supplemented by full-time employees. The DGM sees itself as the representative of the interests of all people with a neuromuscular disease.

Goals:
• Promoting self-determination and inclusion in society
• Improving the quality of life of people with neuromuscular disease

The goals and tasks are based on the needs of those affected and take into account the current social and socio-political framework conditions. The DGM networks nationally and internationally with the organizations important for this work.
