German Society for Endoprosthetics / Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Endoprothetik (AE)

The AE - German Society for Endoprosthetics (AE) was founded in Regensburg in 1996 as a non-profit association. Members are leading orthopedists and trauma surgeons as well as scientists who deal with issues of endoprosthetics and alternative joint-preserving treatment methods.

The primary goal of artificial joint replacement is to sustainably improve the quality of life of patients with joint diseases and injuries. If the joints are irreparably damaged, they can be replaced with modern endoprostheses. Artificial joint replacement is one of the most successful procedures in surgical medicine. Its outcome depends crucially on the knowledge and skills of the surgeons.
