German Cancer Aid is Germany’s leading non-governmental funding and non-profit-making organization of oncology-related activities. Based in Bonn, our core objectives are to improve care for cancer patients, promote research and to heighten cancer awareness through information, education and public campaigns. German Cancer Aid was founded in 1974 and follows the motto "Helping. Researching. Informing.". We support research projects to improve prevention, diagnosis, therapy, after-care and self-help. Fundamentally, all the projects supported are driven by high levels of scientific quality and the potential for significant clinical impact, so that cancer patients rapidly benefit from new knowledge. We also invest in the training of future generations of scientists and medical doctors.
