The DAF is a section of the German Society for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery. Exchange of diagnostics and therapy for diseases and injuries of the foot and ankle.

The German Association for Foot and Ankle Joints - DAF was founded in 1993 by a working group of the German Society for Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery - DGOOC.

Today, more than 1,500 orthopedists and trauma surgeons are members of the DAF, which is the largest section of the DGOOC.

The DAF deals with the diagnostics and therapy of congenital and acquired diseases of the foot and ankle as well as injuries and their consequences.

The aim of the association is to exchange experiences, to train young medical professionals, to organize conferences and congresses and to publish scientific publications in their journal "Fuss und Ankle".

The "Foot Surgery" certificate offers interested people the opportunity to specialize in the conservative and operative field of the foot. For more information, see the "Courses" section .
