GasthuisZusters Antwerp (GZA)

They build on the age-old tradition of hospitality of the Gasthuiszusters van Antwerpen. From the opening of the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwgasthuis in Antwerp in 1238 (now Sint-Elisabeth hospital), the Gasthuis sisters of Antwerp were good hostesses for the patients who entrusted themselves to their care . “Never let anyone die alone” is one of their principles. They built up an extensive network of care facilities that to this day occupies a prominent place in the wider Antwerp region. Since their foundation, the Hospital Sisters have remained true to their goals, their spirituality and their mission.
