The Sfro Followed the Radiotherapy Section of the French Society of Medical Radiology Which Wished to Become Independent After the Success of the Radiotherapy Congress During the World Congress of Radiology in Paris in 1989. The Sfro Responds to the Need to Bring Together Professionals in Oncology Radiotherapy Whose Teaching, Diplomas, Interests and Working Conditions Differ From Those of Their Radiologist Colleagues. An Annual Congress Has Been Organized Since 1990, Whose Audience Has Grown Over the Years. It is Attended by a Growing Number of French-speaking and Non-french-speaking Doctors. The Sfro is Open to Doctors, Physicists, Biologists, Whose Main Activity is Oncology and Radiotherapy. In 2000, It Brought Together Almost All Practicing French Radiotherapists.
