Flemish Association for Gastroenterology / Vlaamse Vereniging voor Gastro-Enterologie (VVGE)

The Flemish Association for Gastroenterology (VVGE) was founded in 1954 by a number of prominent Flemish doctors from university and non-university centers, with the aim of promoting knowledge of the stomach, intestinal and liver diseases and disseminating this knowledge by organizing lectures in Dutch.

Mission:
The VVGE is the meeting forum for everyone with a scientific and practical interest in quality care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

Vision:
In order to achieve our goals, they engage with healthcare professionals, scientists and our patients. They also work closely with politicians and policymakers on this. They invest in education and training for the professionals in our field to achieve quality care. The social cohesion among our members is a reinforcing factor in all this.
