The purpose of the Finnish Society of Clinical Pharmacology is to act as a link between researchers practicing clinical pharmacology and physicians working in the field, and to promote the development, research and education of clinical pharmacology and drug therapy in Finland.
To achieve its purpose, the association organizes scientific meetings and courses, collaborates in developing the requirements for specialization training in clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy, issues statements and makes presentations to authorities, collaborates with other medical organizations, establishes and maintains contacts with international organizations in the field, and informs its members about events in the field. The association supports research in the field, for example by awarding recognition awards to young researchers. The association also aims to support the distribution of independent drug information in society, especially to healthcare professionals.
