The journal was founded in 1933 by Professor Ion Ţeţu, Professor of Otolaryngology at Colţea Hospital, together with his collaborators and other surgeons in the country. From the outset, the magazine appeared quarterly and was structured to be as attractive as its content and to provide otorhallologists with both general information and experience from other services in the country and abroad. Thus, in the pages of the journal were published general papers, original articles, studies and clinical cases, operative techniques, book reviews, reports from specialized congresses, reports from foreign specialized journals, comments on the communications presented at the otorhinolaryngology meetings in Bucharest and other foreign companies structure preserved throughout the magazine's existence.
