Egyptian Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Society (ECTAS)

The society was conceived on March 2003 during a symposium on cardiac anesthesia in Cairo University by Prof. Dr. Adel Abdel Fattah, professor of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, and former head of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Unit, Cairo University. And the dream was carried out by Prof. Dr. Fawzia Aboul Fetouh, professor of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Unit, Cairo University, to become a reality in October 19, 2004, when the inaugural meeting took place in Cairo.

The aim of ECTAS is to be a forum in EGYPT and the Middle East for international scientific discussions and exchange of ideas in the field of cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia and related topics, and to promote education and development in this field.
