Dutch Association of Rehabilitation Doctors / Nederlandse Vereniging van Revalidatieartsen (VAR)

The Dutch Association of Rehabilitation Physicians (VRA) is the national scientific association of physicians who are registered as rehabilitation physicians in the register of the Registration Committee for Medical Specialists (RGS). The VRA is an organization of professional and expert members whose primary aim is to promote the social participation and autonomy of their patients.

The association was founded on April 16, 1955 and has over 900 members. Various committees, working groups and steering groups operate within the VRA. Depending on their status, they provide solicited or unsolicited advice to the board on developments in the field. The daily executive work is performed by the office of the VRA.
