Mission:
DOCTORSUPDATES have been providing ‘education in a perfect location’ for over 30 years now. The meetings take place in the Alps in winter and in the Algarve in autumn. The first Anaesthesia Update was held in 1989 in the beautiful French Alpine resort of La Clusaz with less than 50 delegates and very little snow. The winter meeting was subsequently moved higher in the Alps, first to Belle Plagne and then in 2008 to Val d’Isere, one of the world’s premier ski resorts. Val d’Isère won the Best European Resort, Best Resort and Best Après Resort in the 2016 World Snow Awards. They now regularly welcome more than 500 doctors from UK and other countries to its superb purpose-built conference centre.
