Dermatology Managers Association (DMA)

Stone Mountain, Georgia, United States of America

In 2003 a few practice managers seeking to create successful dermatology practices founded the Dermatology Managers Association of Georgia (DMA/GA). As they have grown, many attendees from multi-states are attracted to the annual meetings; therefore, they now identify the organization as Dermatology Managers Association (DMA).

The purpose of DMA is to promote the development of dermatology practice managers through continuing education, progressive business practices and professional networking avenues. As DMA has grown, the same opportunities are also extended to Aesthetic practice managers and continuing learning tracks are promoted for all staff members of Dermatology and Aesthetic environments.

The Annual Conferences are for learning, networking and developing relationships with fellow practices and their many sponsors. Three concurrent educational pathways are offered during the one-and-a-half day conference.

Their program agendas incorporate education for all practice staff members. they offer three educational pathways for:
• Administrators, Office Managers and Key Personnel
• Laser Practitioners, Aestheticians and Cosmetic Care Coordinators
• Administrative and Clinical staff members including Insurance and Billing departments.

The goals are established to help managers and staff alike become successful. The Annual Conference provides a forum to share knowledge and exchange information to help solve real challenges within Dermatology and Aesthetic practices. Continuing educational units and laser practitioner CEUs are available for the programs presented by business experts and leading industry speakers.

The Board of Directors also serve as the organization’s officers. Many volunteers make their Annual Conferences successful by helping implement all the plans necessary to accomplish DMA’s goals.
