Since 1969 The Greenville Health System Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine has been dedicated to providing care to those in our community suffering from a wide range of psychiatric disorders. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, an embedded component of the Greenville Health System, provides a complete spectrum of care to diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders in children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. We are dedicated to treating patients with psychiatric disorders in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to treating patients, we are a teaching and research facility focused on training future healthcare professionals. We take a multidisciplinary approach to treating our patients. That is a collaborative approach which facilities information exchange and sharing of expertise among various disciplines and providers to comprehensively address the needs and care of our patient population.
