Department of Health Technology and Informatics (HTI)

HTI is the youngest Department in the Faculty of Health and Social Science at PolyU. However, it hosts Medical Laboratory Science and Radiography-two well-established healthcare disciplines whose tertiary education has a long history of over 35 years in Hong Kong and was first started by the predecessor of PolyU in 1978. The unique combination of these two healthcare disciplines in one department enables us to share expertise, complement each other and excel in both academic programmes and research.

• Advance and preserve knowledge on human health.
• Educate the next generation of allied health professionals-including practicing clinical staff, advance practice staff, faculty and researchers-and the general public.
• Provide service that promotes the health and well-being of diverse individuals, families, communities, populations and systems.
