Department of Geriatrics Christian Medical College

There are very few centers offering a MCI recognised MD in Geriatric Medicine training program, CMC Vellore being one of them. By training these doctors, we will increase the pool of trained manpower in the country so as to deliver cost-effective, expert care to the senior citizens of the country in the spirit of Christ.

The department endeavours to provide holistic care to the aging population by promoting effective preventive, curative, rehabilitative, promotive and palliative care. We also strive to achieve excellence in teaching and research.
