Founded in response to the devastating crack-cocaine epidemic of the 1980s, CADCA was born from a nationwide need to mobilize communities against rising drug use. Since 1992, CADCA has been the premier prevention association, equipping coalitions with the tools, knowledge and support needed to create positive change in their communities. We represent over 7,000 community coalitions in the United States and more than 28 countries, drawing participation from key sectors such as schools, law enforcement, youth, parents, healthcare, and more. At the heart of CADCA’s work is the belief that local coalitions are essential catalysts for creating safer, healthier communities.
