College National des Cardiologues des Hopitaux / National College of Cardiologists Hospitals (CNCH / NCCH)

Paris, Ile-de-France, France

The Collège National des Cardiologues des Hospitals, founded in 1985, brings together specialist physicians qualified in cardiovascular pathology working partially or totally in non-university hospitals.

Approximately 1,800 cardiologists and 500 hospital services meet this definition. Certain practitioners practicing in private non-profit institutions also belong to the College.

The aim of the association is to publicize, improve and defend the practice of cardiology in the General Hospital. Hospitals General account for 60% of medical beds in France, and the percentage of hospitalized cardiac patients is also estimated at 60%. The range of their technical equipment is very diverse. Some are local hospital services whose medical team includes one or more cardiologists but others have a complete technical platform including interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery.
