Missions:
Care
This is to ensure access to care for all patients, without discrimination, and for all pathologies. The offer of care is based on:
• proximity (management of common pathologies),
• recourse (rare pathologies or requiring a high level of medical expertise). The HCL coordinate several national reference centers (rare lung diseases, cystic fibrosis, rare kidney diseases, rare diseases of sexual development ...).

For over 200 years, the Hospices Civils de Lyon (University Hospital of Lyon) have put their medical expertise at the service of the Lyonnais. HCLs bring together 14 multidisciplinary or specialized hospitals.
