Overview:
Established in May 2011 as a start-up that was set up by University Malaya, CBMTI is located in IPS and UMRC. The centre’s first project was the creation of customised implants for the replacement of skull removed during surgery (for trauma and tumour) and reconstruction of facial defects.

Today, our projects includes customised titanium implants, maxillofacial reconstruction, spine bio model, frame bio model, bio model slotter, maxillofacial model and MEDCOM OR (a medical communication system in Operating Rooms). With a multi-disciplinary team, CBMTI has exploited 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence (Ai) and Big Data Analytics technology to its utmost potential. But where CBMTI truly stands out is in creating clinically impact-full, sophisticated and training simulators for Industry 4.0 technology.

Our Vision:
The Festival of Biologics aims to bring together senior biologics professionals across the value chain to showcase their research, collaborate on challenges, forge new connections and ultimately advance the industry to improve patient health.

We provide:

• Computer modeling of concept
• Prototyping from virtual models to working devices

Objectives:
• Provide consultancy & 3D printing services for the healthcare industry.
• Prototype medical devices to assist clinical practitioners to perform surgery.
• Replicate Human anatomy for the purpose of training and patient understanding.
• To provide teaching and training modules endorsed by UM on technology (Industry 4.0) for school Corporates, Medical Professional and children to provide young talents to join the 3d printing in medicine industry.
• To provide a medical communication system within an Operating Room (OR) facility that works within the workflow of the local operating room
