About The Cardiovascular Institute of Philadelphia, founded in 1998 to serve the Delaware Valley community, is a 501(c)3 medical, non-profit research foundation that works in partnership with regional hospitals, universities and private medical practices. The CVI organizes heart health awareness education programs for patients, their families and the general public that promote a better understanding of what they all can do to adopt healthier lifestyles as well as explore paths to treatment if necessary. Likewise, CVI offers a diverse catalogue of accredited continuing medical education programs for physicians and allied healthcare professionals, offering convenient access to the most up-to-date information on the causes, detection, treatment and – most importantly – the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
