The Brazilian Society of Dental Research - SBPqO is a non-profit association, founded on May 5, 1983. SBPqO is the Brazilian Division of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). Today it is the largest division in Latin America and one of the most representative of the IADR in the world.

The purpose of SBPqO is to promote widely the development and dissemination of research in all areas of science that contribute directly to the development of oral health. In order to fulfill its purposes, the Association may organize itself in as many units as necessary, throughout the national territory, which will operate through express delegation of the headquarters, and will be governed by the provisions contained in this statute, and also by an approved bylaws by the General Assembly.
