FEBRAPSI was founded in 1967 as the Brazilian Association of Psychoanalysis (ABP) and has built a history that marked Brazilian psychoanalytic thought.
Bringing together Brazilian psychoanalytic societies affiliated with the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA), it organizes and strengthens its activities of dissemination, dissemination and teaching of psychoanalysis in its territory, as well as participation in the Psychoanalytic Federation of Latin America (Fepal).
