Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology / Bohomolets Institute of Physiolo

Institute of Physiology O.O. The Bogomolets National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was founded in 1953 as a result of the merger of the Institute of Experimental Biology and Pathology (IEEE) of the Ministry of Health of the Ukrainian SSR and the Institute of Clinical Physiology (ICF) of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.

Both institutions were founded in 1931 - 1934 as a result of the initiative of Academician O.O. Bohomoltsia, a world-renowned scholar who was the director and chief scientific officer of these two institutions until 1946. During 1946 - 1953, the institutes of experimental biology and pathology and clinical physiology were led by A.O. Bogomolets and R.E. Kavetsky
