The aim of the Young Forum of the OGU is to network the young trauma surgeons throughout Austria, to facilitate their communication and interaction and to promote the mutual exchange of ideas and opinions.

The Young Forum was founded in October 2014 as part of the annual meeting of the OGU. In the course of 2015, a structure similar to that of an OGU working group was developed and tasks were distributed within the team . Now the Junge Forum is growing and there are always new ideas and projects for accident surgeons in training and at the beginning of the specialist careers career like further education and other events.

The team of the Junge Forum is in close contact with the OGU and sees itself as a mouthpiece for the young generation of accident surgery within the OGU as well as towards decision-makers.

Being in contact with the trauma departments of Austria is essential for networking, so They call on all assistant medical representatives of departments to get in touch with the Junge Forum. The contact is also actively accepted by our side to support this.
