Austrian Society of Medical Mycology / Österreichische Gesellschaft für Medizinische Mykologie

Our company was founded in 2000 to promote and represent medical mycology in Austria. The ÖGMM pursues as goals:
• A well-established mycological scene with good networking among all Austrian institutions and individuals for whom fungal infections play an important role
• Good international contacts and cooperations
• Being a partner and Austrian contact point for important questions concerning fungal infections

Tasks:
The ÖGMM has therefore set itself the following tasks to achieve the goals:
• Organization of congresses, symposia, lectures
• Promotion of medical mycology and dissemination of current information from this area
• Support for participation in national and international specialist congresses through travel grants
• Caring for the cooperation of medical mycologists in the interests of scientific progress
• Promotion of younger scientists in this field
• Award of publication prices
• Notes on selected congresses with mycological topics
