The Australian Medical Association Queensland is the state's peak medical body and represents approximately 9,000 Queensland doctors, including residents and registrars, public and private specialists, general practitioners and medical students. Nationally, the Australian Medical Association represents some 30,000 doctors.

The Australian Medical Association Queensland are proud to be leading Queensland doctors throughout every stage of their career and creating better health outcomes for Their community and profession.

The Australian Medical Association Queensland assist members through the secretariat who specialise in workplace relations, media and public relations, lobbying campaigns and policy development for the betterment of the medical profession.

The Australian Medical Association Queensland also actively campaigns for the rights of patients, better services in the public system, guaranteed freedom of choice in the private system and the right to access high quality medical services.
