Australian & New Zealand Orthopaedic Research Society (ANZORS)

Crawley, Western Australia, Australia

The Australian and New Zealand Orthopaedic Research Society (ANZORS) is a dynamic society that attracts researchers and clinicians in the field of Orthopaedics from Australia and New Zealand. They now have over 150 members from around the region, and continue to grow every year. Since its inception, ANZORS has encouraged students and other young investigators in the field to present their work at a national forum at their annual scientific meeting.

Purpose
To promote, support, develop and encourage research in musculoskeletal disorders, diseases and injuries and in their management. To provide a forum for the sharing and dissemination of knowledge in these fields.

Goals
ANZORS represents a stream of basic and applied scientists, orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists, and industry scientists who have passion, dynamics and motivation to pursue orthopaedic research. The orthopaedic research community in Australia and New Zealand is rapidly expanding. Several areas, including molecular biology research, therapeutic lineage-specific cell therapy, orthopaedic bioengineering, and prosthesis design and assessment, are becoming the focus of research by their members. Thus, communication between groups for the encouragement of interdisciplinary collaboration should be the foremost goal for ANZORS.
