Australasian Delirium Association (ADA)

The Australasian Delirium Association was formed by health professionals from multidisciplinary backgrounds who recognised the need to bring together scientific evidence to improve clinical practice around delirium across a diverse range of specialties.

Vision:
The Australasian Delirium Association (ADA) is committed to advancing research and knowledge about delirium. Their purpose is to improve the care, health and outcomes of people at risk of, with, or recovering from delirium. They aim to promote better understanding of delirium through leadership, education, support, resources, research and partnerships.

Areas of Interest:
The ADA was formed by a group of passionate advocates from multidisciplinary backgrounds. They want to bring together available scientific evidence for best practice, and concentrate disparate efforts.

They want to learn more about delirium from all perspectives, including: prevention, causes, early identification, accurate diagnosis, management and impact on people affected by it. Most importantly, They must facilitate translation from evidence into real-world practice.

Their activities will spread greater awareness of delirium both within the medical arena and the public, and help to lift the standards of delirium care in all settings: hospital, aged care, or community.
