Association of Radiation oncologists’ of India (AROI) is the largest academic organization of the Oncologists in India. The West Bengal Chapter of the Association of Radiation Oncologists’ of India (AROIWB) came to being along with the parent national body. With about 252 members, it is one of the largest state Chapters of the Association. The state chapter has been organizing Annual state Conferences, continuing Medical Education Programs for both the Consultants and the Post Graduates for the past 20 years.

The Objective of the AROI, WB chapter is to encourage and advance the knowledge, study and practice of the science of radiation oncology in all way, in line with the declared objectives of the National body. This includes encouraging and providing stimulus for the research activities and dissemination of knowledge through conferences, workshop, CMEs, clinical meetings, and other activities. It also seeks to collaborate with other professional bodies to facilitate multi-disciplinary collaboration to promote cross discipline understanding, cancer awareness and improvement of patient care.

Vision:
The West Bengal chapter of AROI seeks to bring together the Oncologists of West Bengal and create excellence in Education, Research and Patient Care. Mission Statement :
The WB chapter of the AROI, aims to bring together the Oncologists of West Bengal and provide them an academic platform for their development, by means of Conferences, workshop, CMEs, Clinical meetings accredited by West Bengal Medical Council and other activities.

The AROI, WB chapter seeks to develop all round collaboration with other medical faculties to promote multi-disciplinary collaboration and thereby facilitating greater understanding of the problems and improvement of patient care.

The association seeks to ignite the minds of the young radiation Oncologists and foster their growth through educational and supportive activities.

The association seeks to engage with patients, caregivers and all stakeholders for health Education, health promotion, tobacco cessation and dissemination of knowledge to provide appropriate direction to them.
