European Society of Cardiology (ESC) - Association of Cardiovascular Nursing & Allied Professions (ACNAP)

Biot, Provence-Alpes-Cote d Azur, France

On 28 August 2018, the ESC General Assembly in Munich voted to elevate the ESC Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (CCNAP) to an association, one of only seven within the ESC. Since its creation, ACNAP is a dynamic and collaborative association specialising in the prevention, rehabilitation, and management of patients with cardiovascular disease.

“Nurses and allied health professionals play a pivotal role in cardiac care. Evolution of the CCNAP to the Association of Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professionals (ACNAP) gives further strength to their growing community. It will allow us to collaborate and contribute at an equal level with other subspecialties and associations within ESC so they can play an even greater role in the delivery of optimal cardiovascular care.” President of ACNAP, Dr Tina Hansen (Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde, Denmark)
